
The Lifestyle Medicine Initiative allows hospitals and other large healthcare providers to have an ongoing partnership with Rippe Health including its research division (Rippe Lifestyle Institute) and its clinical division (Rippe Health Evaluation) and thereby have access to evidence based protocols in lifestyle related issues such as regular physical activity, proper nutrition, weight management and other behavioral based issues which form the core of the modern practice of Lifestyle Medicine.
In addition, the LMI provides access to the Lifestyle Medicine Association, a national, professional and lay organization devoted to advancing the principles of Lifestyle Medicine Association. The Lifestyle Medicine Initiative also has a partnership with the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine, the first and only peer reviewed publication available to physicians and other healthcare providers throughout the United States providing ongoing research and education in the area of Lifestyle Medicine. An additional relationship with the Center for Lifestyle Medicine at the University of Central Florida provides more educational opportunities.
The Lifestyle Medicine Initiative offers hospitals a framework to build collaborative efforts designed to combine the talents and abilities of physicians, senior administrators, other healthcare workers, researchers and health educators throughout the United States to utilize Lifestyle Medicine principles to combat the diseases of the 21st Century.
The Lifestyle Medicine Initiative is based on the vision that multi disciplinary approaches are essential to solve major healthcare issues of the 21st Century. The LMI will provide evidence based protocols, research and education to help hospitals incorporate information about how daily habits and actions impact on both short and long term health and quality of life.
